Posture and Movement Assessment
A true Pilates practice strives to create harmony within the body. A sound Pilates program will incorporate exercises that create the following:
Balanced Musculature→ Correct Bone and Joint Alignment→ Improved Posture
= A better ability to LiveLife
At LiveLife Pilates posture and movement assessments are a vital step in creating an effective and lasting program design for each individual.
The Posture and movement assessment is simple, quick, and non-invasive. During the 15 minute assessment a LiveLife Pilates instructor will examine your standing postural alignment from the front, side, and back view. On completion of the the postural assessment, you will be shown and instructed to perform a quick movement assessment. The movement assessment will include an overhead squat and a single leg squat.
The LiveLife Pilates instructor will provide initial feedback on the posture and movement assessment. You and the instructor will then tailor a program to fit your needs. All assessment observations and findings will be recorded and will be used to measure the progress of your Pilates practice.
The initial posture and movement assessment is often added on to the introductory pilates session. On the completion of each LiveLife Pilates session package, you and your LiveLife Pilates instructor will conduct another posture and movement assessment. This serves to record your progress, enhance your program design, and reach new goals.
