Kristi Monson
Certified Pilates Instructor
Kristi has studied Pilates since 1996. Her foundation is multi-faceted, studying under prestigious mentors such as Karen Shanley, Marie Jose Blom-Lawrence, and Audrey Wilson – whose mentor was trained by Joseph Pilates himself. Furthermore, being certified at Long Beach Dance Conditioning, Kristi also learned many physical therapy protocols.
In addition to formal Pilates training, Kristi has an eclectic array of athletic experience, with a background in dance performance and instruction, marathon running, martial arts, circus acrobatics, and contortion. She has a comprehensive knowledge of the body, and the most effective teaching strategies. Her philosophy is to perfect the body from the inside out; to strengthen muscles around properly aligned bones for optimal performance, injury prevention, and a stunning physique.
Kristi will lead you through highly customized strength, flexibility and stability training based on your unique strengths, weaknesses and goals. Her keen understanding of biomechanics will help you achieve the maximum results in the least amount of time, while training your body to resist injury.
